LITHUANIAN AMATEUR RADIO STATION

Station improvement, summer 2008

I’ve had some plans to improve my weekend QTH during this summer. The aim is to build modest, but comfortable enough station just to be able to get into the contest without time consuming preparations. Some plans went live, some are still waiting… Few pictures bellow illustrate my little efforts.

click to view Very common progress - wires have been replaced by tribander for 20-15-10 meters bands. AD347 (C31XR) is reliable and good performer. click to view Tribander is ready to be installed on rotatable mast @ 18m.
click to view Standard office furniture was replaced by double deck warm looking desk made from natural pine. click to view Here is the power - 300w amplifier built by LY2MV.
click to view This 23m length set of tubes has a clear purpose – top loaded vertical for 160m band. Hope it will be serious improvement over my current dipole @ 12m. click to view Here is solid isolated base plate for the vertical.
click to view I had a real joy building this remote antenna switch with neat indicator of selected antenna. click to view That’s not the radio :)... but very helpful accessory installed to use during winter-time contests.
