On May 1, 2005, the diploma program was first announced on the LY2FE website. On June 4, 2005, the start of the program was announced and the first activations of hillforts began. During these years, a long way has been covered. Hundreds of hillforts have been activated. Radio amateurs have walked thousands of kilometers through meadows and forests. Tens of thousands of QSOs have been made with Lithuanian and foreign radio amateurs. To celebrate this occasion of "LHFA - 20th" anniversary, activity is being organized ! On December 31, 2024. Vytautas Magnus Radio Club ceased its activities. On February 1, 2025, during the LRMD General Assembly, a large majority of votes approved the adoption of the hillforts program (LHFA) under the LRMD flag. By decision of the LRMD Board, the following was approved as the program manager: Saulius - LY7LS |

In order to manage the program's affairs more efficiently, the LHFA HQ team has been assembled. In addition to the manager, the following have agreed to help with current affairs as much as possible: Genadijus - LY2GN

The club discussed public concerns regarding the administration of the LHFA program. A majority decision was made to replace the program manager and entrust those duties to Petras - LY2KM.
The decision came into effect on 2020.06.11.
